A visit at the Art Gallery of Ontario for the Evan Penny exhibition led us to Kinton Ramen afterwards. We had the Spicy Fried Chicken, Shio Ramen, Spicy Garlic Ramen (with extra meat), and the Vegetable Ramen.
sometimes cheaper & bigger isn’t necessarily worth it
The giant wine bottle sitting on the counter should have served as indication of what was to come. Then came the white paper placed over the tablecloths and the tacky music. Then…the appetizers. By the time we realized we would not be enjoying our time here, it was too late to get up and leave. And so, the boyfriend and I suffered through a two hour $25 three course prix fixe dinner at Sambuca Grill on Baldwin Street. Leo had the mussels, t-bone steak and the creme brulee. I chose the soup, risotto and tiramisu. Everything was oversized.
Honestly, this is one of the worst meals I’ve had in a while. The appetizers were average and I chose not to finish my risotto, because it seemed as if it was drenched in wine. The desserts, however, were pretty good.
