Scenes from last Sunday:
Roasted chicken, braised beef cheeks, beets & apple salad from Inigo. Bread from The Healthy Butcher (the guy who owns the place was on Food Network Canada’s dinner party wars!). Brazilian cheese bread from yours truly. Iced americano & iced chai from Crafted Te Aro.
A nice cold drink from Crafted Te Aro followed by a quick bite at 416 Snack Bar and some tacos and tostada from Tacos El Asador (though unfortunately not featured). Apparently my stomach has been shrinking because I went home not feeling the least bit hungry.
I would recommend checking out 416 Snack Bar. Albeit a little bit pricey considering the tiny portions (they are snacks after all), I really enjoyed the food. Everything we tried was just delicious and I think just so well made (is that the correct term?) and flavourful. Nothing on the food menu is over $5. Also, having tried Ippudo’s pork bun, 416′s is waaaaay better. Really.
