BHH Blog | a toronto food blog

A few days ago, I got a chance to attend a tasting for Jamba Juice’s and Yogurty’s summer menu launch. The invitation was from the wonderful ladies of Rock It Promo, who kindly let me bring a friend along as not to look like that awkward girl in the corner pretending to text. I was initially worried that it’d be a stuffy affair, but it was a fun and informal gathering with loads of good stuff eaten.

There were quite a few pro-bloggers who came prepared with questions about the products – total pros, right?! – while I…simply showed up to eat…mmm.

We began at Jamba Juice, where we sampled their Fruit Refreshers line. All made with the addition of coconut water for some thirst quenching goodness, the Fruit Refreshers had the consistency of a slushie, but fruitier and much healthier. My favourite was the Tropical Mango.

We also got to try other menu items, like their sugar waffles and California flatbread.

Then we headed over to Yogurty’s.

Though we got a free reign to sample all of their offered flavours (such as red velvet and salted caramel), the star was definitely the Greek frozen yoghurt they were promoting. Mixed with the Tart Honey, it was one of the better combinations I’ve had. I can tell this it will be a regular craving…

Have you ever tried Menchies. Now that’s a froyo place. Booster Juice > Jamba Juice. When Jamba juice first opened on Bloor Street my friend convinced my to try it, so I did, it does not even compare to Booster Juice. It’s more like something you would get from a freshly squeezed. Tasted a bit chalky to me.
