BHH Blog | a toronto food blog

Bellwoods Brewery is still  popular as ever! They’ve changed their menu since our first visit and have beautiful transitioned from awkward snack bar to proper pub grub destination. There’s a smoked duck yolk salad  and a Fried Pork Belly and Clam dish that’s got me intrigued, all of which are likely to be vast improvements to last year’s summer menu. My friend and I had their vegetarian spread of the day, fried chicken with a spicy banana hot sauce, and fries with thyme and toscano cheese. I’m no beer connoisseur, so I can’t speak about what we drank, but the White Picket Fence, a pale ale, I believe, was alright. My friend had the Wolf Wizard, which BlogTO listed as one of the must try beers of the season.

If you’re more interested in the beer than the food, they have a standing room just for that. Otherwise, be ready to wait to get seated.
