Oh Valencia, Valencia, Valencia! The street is just rows and rows of restaurants and shops streaming with beautiful light, it’s no wonder it has a friggin’ Instragram filter named after it! A jaunt down the street will lead you to Four Barrel Coffee, a great space to hang out and people watch, or as we did, grab a quick snack and coffee before heading to brunch at Bar Tartine.

BRUNCH: Bar Tartine
Everything from the woodsy interior and the menu was just right; a little bit of NorCal and a melding of Eastern European and what seemed to be Middle Eastern and Persian influences. We shared the avocado and scrambled eggs on a polenta toast, a fennel and pork sausage biscuit with a paprika sauce, the kefir milk pound cake with honey butter topped with bee pollen, the beet mimosa, and the orange blossom soda. And yes, the famous Tartine Bakery sourdough is quite good.

Oh wow! Tartine looks excellent! Great photos too. Will you make a stop at Blue Bottle for coffee? :)

Our itinerary was jam packed! Really wish we made an effort to go to Blue Bottle in SF, but unfortunately it didn’t happen – that city has way too many pretty shops.

    Two of my favorite spots!
